The Ouija Journey – First Use

The Ouija board had arrived and been cleansed. The stage was set. I had chosen my son as my partner, and who you do the Ouija with is very important, so I’ll explain…

First, with the Ouija you need a partner you know and trust. They must have only good intention in alignment with your own. You must know them well enough to know that they are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and that their emotional state and lifestyle do lot leave them open to negative attachment.

They must also be of an open mind, and willing to take the session seriously as an attempt at spirit communication and not a game. That doesn’t mean you can’t have a little fun –  I believe a lighter atmosphere may actually be helpful. But if they’ll make off-colored jokes or not abide by the rules, find someone else.

For me my partner in this initial journey is my 14-year-old son. I might not usually recommend the Ouija for someone of such a young age, but he’s a bit different. He started seeing spirits and orbs when he was 11. Not often, but often enough. And he’s shown other signs of being mildly psychic and empathetic. He’s very comfortable with what he sees and has joined me at a public ghost hunt and several private ones in our own home.

Emotionally he is spiritual and strong. He has a healthy respect for the other side and a desire to help all creatures, living and dead. He’s dabbled successfully in animal communication and has a strong connection with the other side. He’s wanted to do this for a long time, but is cautious enough to want to do it the right way.

He’s been as excited as I have to begin the journey so last Saturday night we started down the road.

The first challenge was respecting my husband’s wishes not to bring the board into the house. I initially wanted to talk to our own ghosts, and since they are apparently from a farm that was on our land long ago, being outside shouldn’t be an issue. The only problem was that here in New Jersey was darned cold! We made ourselves a place to work on the back porch and reviewed the rules. Mom’s in charge – you need to do what I tell you, even if you don’t understand at the moment. No asking it to communicate in any way outside of the board. If I think anything that comes through might be negative we’ll tell it goodbye immediately I’ll take it from there. And whoever comes through, it’s imperative that we say goodbye and have it go back to wherever it came from before we close.

We began with prayer and our intent. We asked specifically to speak to any spirits that lived on our property and forbade anything not of the light to come through. We sat closely with the board on a small table between us, frozen fingers on the planchette, digital voice recorder running, and began.

Is there anyone here with us tonight?

Nothing. At least for maybe a minute. Then slowly, so slowly, the planchette began moving towards “Yes”. We followed with more questions…

Do you dwell on this property? – It moved very slowly to Yes.

Are you a male? – It moved faster to Yes.

How old were you when you died? – Nothing.

Do you know that you have died? – Nothing.

What year were you born? – More nothing.

Do you mind talking with us tonight? – Finally it moved again, slowly to No.

Did you ever live on this property? – Nothing.

Was there once a farm on this property? – It moved very slowly to Yes.

I mentioned how cold I my fingers were and that we’d need to quit soon, then asked it to spell its first name. The planchette moved very slowly towards T, pausing (or maybe not) then onto the G directly above it.

I mention that I was getting a little too cold and the planchette was moving really slowly, hinting to my son that maybe we should try again another night. Suddenly the planchette moved in the opposite direction down to “Goodbye”. I got the distinct impression it was sympathetic to my freezing condition.

I told it thank you for noticing how cold I was and we both thanked it for the session and said goodbye. As we were doing so the planchette shot hard and fast across the board towards me, the fastest it had moved all night. We moved it back to Goodbye and closed the session, telling the spirits they now needed to return to wherever they came from and that they were not allowed in our house unless they usually were in there.

It was a slow but interesting beginning to our journey. I haven’t done any property research on the previous farm to know the names of the of the previous owners or residents, so I’m hoping someday soon the Ouija will give me a name that I can someday verify. Having shared our home with spirits for many years we of course have a lot of questions. But in the end the goal is to see if there is some way we can help these souls, and possibly get them to cross over. Though I must admit, I’ll miss them when they’re gone.

That was a week ago and the weather has kept us from any further Ouija sessions, but soon, very soon, we’ll try again.

In the mean time, check out my new youtube trailer at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63RoCkVPByU&feature=em-share_video_user.  The one exterior shot of a house is the back of my own place, including the porch where we did our Ouija session.

Ouija – The Journey Begins

To Ouija or not to Ouija?   I’m about to cross that line for the first time since I was a kid.  Folks, don’t try this at home, as they say on TV.  Seriously, though, at least be sure you know what you’re doing before you do.  Read on…

First, a little history.  The Ouija board actually evolved out of a tool for automatic handwriting, a form of spirit communication.  At first a basket or other object was used with a mounted pencil as tool for the medium’s communication with the dead.  The device evolved into a planchette, a hand-sized heart-shaped plank mounted on two rolling canisters, with the point of a pencil as the third leg.  The exact transition of this pencil planchette to the format of a non-penciled version used on a lettered board is unknown, or at least debated, but in 1886 the New York Daily Tribune carried an article about a new “talking board” which was becoming the rage in Ohio.

As the concept developed into marketable products, legal battles ensued.  It’s an interesting history.  Check out http://www.museumoftalkingboards.com/history.html for more.

In the 1960s the rights to the Ouija board version of the talking board were sold to Parker Brothers, who owns them to this day.  There have been many variations of talking boards, both before and after Parker Brothers took over its distribution.  In the 1970s as a pre-teen I used the William Fuld version of the board, which is the classic format many of us remember with a faux birds-eye maple background on laminated paper glued onto hardboard.  Parker Brothers stopped making this version in 1999, replacing it with the smaller and less detailed glow-in-the-dark version which is still available today.

I well remember my early-teen days using the Ouija with my family in our very actively haunted house.  It was incredible how the planchette was constantly responding to our questions, seemingly moving on its own.  My mother had explained that it was actually just us moving it through our subconscious, but I had a hard time believing that.  Until it all got a little too creepy and then that’s exactly what I tried to convince myself.

The board we used then had belonged to a friend, and I never owned one myself.  In fact, I had never really taken them all too seriously until I mentioned one to my husband when we were first dating ten years ago.  I thought it might be a good way to talk to the ghost he’d seen in his home, but he was adamant that no Ouija Board would ever come into the house.

Now my husband isn’t exactly afraid of the paranormal, so I was a little surprised.  Any time he’s seen our own ghost he hasn’t been the least bit frightened, just amazed.  So I did a little homework and apparently the paranormal community had learned much about this little ‘game’ over the years when I wasn’t paying attention.  In short, it opens doorway, much as a seance does.  If you aren’t controlling the doorway anything might come through and sometimes does.  And sometimes, if you haven’t closed the session properly, it doesn’t leave.

The more I’ve learned about the Ouija the more I’ve advocated against its operation by casual users.  It’s a tool for communicating with the dead, not a game.  In my own book, I Think My House is Haunted!, I strongly suggest not using one if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing, and I mentioned that I was personally not even comfortable enough to use one.  That was true then and has been true until a couple of weeks ago.

Over time I’ve listened to the experts, those with a lifetime of experience using the board.  I’ve read and I’ve studied.  I’ve learned and assimilated.  I wanted my own energy in the right place before I started.  I needed someone – the right someone – to use it with.  And I needed a reason to use it other than my own entertainment.

All the factors have now come together, as I’ll explain in the upcoming series of posts.

Step one was to get a board.  I briefly considered one of the new glow-in-the-dark boards simply because a used board comes with an unknown history, and possibly a few attachments to boot.  But the new boards are smaller and just not – to me – right, so I wound up on eBay.  I decided on a classic William Fuld based Parker Brothers version manufactured in Salem Massachusetts.  There were a few available so I tried to get a decent deal on the first one, but lost the auction.  The second one I was looking at had an auction that went off at two in the morning, so I waited up, hoping to take it with a last minute bid.  I was logged in with seconds to go and my finger on the Bid Now button when something told me “Not this board”.  I stopped just short of making the bid, and instead bought a more expensive Buy-it-Now option that I’d saved earlier.  I’ll always wonder what might have been attached to that other board, but I’ve come to trust that little voice.

Step two was even harder – talking to my husband.  I finally broached the subject, using the “Trust me – I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t know what I was doing” approach.  I successfully negotiated outdoor use, which I offered as a compromise and because I think our spirits are attached to our land, not our house.  I figured it was a place to start, at least.

The board came yesterday.  A used board MUST be cleansed before you use it, and I wanted to cleanse this one before I even brought it into the house.  Typically a board is cleansed with prayer, the white light of protection, verbally, and/or with sage.  I intended to do them all, but to begin with something more.  Any spirits attached to the board had been invited there, and after hearing Chris Flemming’s own Ouija Board story I also believed they could be unhappily stuck on this side of the veil against their will.

As soon as the board arrived I took it to my mini-van to get out of the cold and I put my hand on it.  It had energy, almost a heaviness. It was most likely residual, but I’m not one who can tell.  Before I cleansed it I talked to the spirits who might be attached.  I apologized if they were stuck here against their will and told them they would not be welcome on my land or in my home, but that I would help them cross over to the light if they were ready.  I continued with a crossing ceremony, again reiterated than any spirits who remained must now leave, then cleansed the board with prayer, the white light, and verbal protection.  Finally I smudged with sage and sweet grass.

I put my hand on the box again. Much better.  I brought it in to the kitchen to replace the missing plastic of the planchette, then put the on the back porch. In the meanwhile I did a light smudging on the house – it was overdue anyway.

So there it sits, ready for tonight, or when the time is right.

To be continued…

STRANDED

I hesitated to blog about a paranormal show, ’cause, well, some are more realistic than others shall we say.  And even the realistic ones are entertainment, not reality. But this one’s got me excited!

Okay, I actually only got excited after hearing Josh Gates give us the inside scoop on Darkness Radio.  Before that I was expecting the whole thing to be more-or-less a big scare set-up.  But not so much!

First, here’s what The SyFy Channel has to say about the show:

“Created by Josh Gates (Destination Truth), Stranded is an all-new reality series that documents an unconventional – and terrifying – paranormal and psychological experiment. Each episode features the self-recorded footage of a diverse group of every-day paranormal enthusiasts – from newlyweds and a brother-in-law to a trio of roommates.

“Each team of three will be stranded at one of the most haunted locations in America and record the entire experience with hand-held cameras creating a suspenseful, completely unscripted first-hand account of each group’s stay.  Over the course of the confinement, the group will cope with increasingly pervasive feelings of fear and desolation, resulting in an experiment that represents a unique combination of psychology and the paranormal.”

http://www.syfy.com/stranded/about

They had me with “psychology”!

As Josh describes it, these guys are truly on their.  No faked scares, no camera men to save them.  Just some everyday people spending five days in a (very) haunted location.  One of the things I’m really looking forward to is the interactions – when things start happening and you’ve got a mix of believers and skeptics, as the show has tried to achieve, well, you have a situation that many people really do find themselves living with.  True paranormal experiences are a bubbly concoction of people, location, and paranormal energies, and this show promises to focus on the people factor of the equation in unprecedented ways.

The show’s locations are to die for as well.  One lucky team will get to stay in the beautiful Burn Brae Manor, a 27 room estate near the Delaware River in Glen Spey, New York.  One team must fend for themselves in the Gothic “Seaview Terrace” Carey Mansion in Newport, Rhode Island, which some of you folks from my era may recognize from the opening and exterior scenes in the Dark Shadows TV show.  And three poor souls must endure the infamously haunted West Virginia Penitentiary in Moundsville.

I for one can’t wait to see how it all turns out!

The Quiet Ones

Active hauntings are always fun to investigate and to hear about, especially those of the poltergeist variety.  That’s what I grew up with and, although sometimes unnerving, it was certainly always interesting.

But what of the quieter hauntings?  These are, truth be told, much more common.  The activity isn’t as significant or as frequent, but it’s certainly still there.  Sometimes it comes in spurts, or maybe it kicks up when there’s construction going on or when there’s fighting in the house.  Or perhaps it’s simply, as best we can tell, totally random.  What’s up with that?

First, it’s likely (but not definite) that the quieter ghosts are actually there all the time. They’re just, ur, quiet.  One theory is that they have less energy to make themselves known, and that may well be true in many cases.  But some spirits just seem to prefer to keep to themselves.  Maybe they are the ones less aware of our reality… they may not realize they’re dead, or if they do they’d prefer not to acknowledge that fact any more than they need to.  They may be perfectly happy up in the attic or down in the basement in their own little world hoping not to be disturbed.  (One client of mine noticed that any time she went up into the attic and started going through things, the activity in the rest of the home would amp up.)

The home I currently live in falls into the quietly haunted category.  When my husband and I started dating he would tell me of a shadow figure sometimes seen in a certain hall.  It was a few years before I finally saw it, though.  Since my boys have hit the adolescent years, the spurts of activity seem much more frequent.  Still, sometimes months go by with nothing at all and I start to wonder if they’ve gone off somewhere.

One thing that often works if you’re wondering if your ghost is still hanging around is simply to talk to it.  Tell it you know it’s there, but you haven’t heard or seen it for a while, so if it could let you know in some way that it’s still around you’d appreciate it.  Of course, be careful what you wish for because you might just get it.  Just a few weeks ago I did that very thing with mine.  The next evening I happened to be up at 2 in the morning rearranging the living room furniture – a sometimes compulsion of mine – and I turned to see a shadow figure for only a moment before it disappeared.  I acknowledged and thanked it and it’s been quiet ever since.

Of course once you open the door to a little activity you might get more than you bargained for.  In fact, any time you continually talk to your spirits or open communication paths in any way (recording EVP, dowsing rods, or – yikes- a Ouija board), you’re likely to increase the activity.  Whether that’s a good thing or not depends both on you and your ghost.

Ghostly Music

My team kicked off an investigation for a client last night where one of the claims was hearing 1920s orchestra swing music late one night.  The gentleman and lady of the house were reading in bed when they heard the odd music seemingly coming from the hall outside their door.  The gentleman went to investigate and as soon as his foot touched the floor it stopped.  Five minutes after he got back in bed the odd soft music was heard again, and again it immediately stopped when his foot hit the floor.

We get often enough, with clients reporting unexplainable wafting riffs of music.  When I first started as a ghost hunter I was well practiced in doing my tag-along prevention routine after investigations, but somehow I didn’t even think about it when I went on my first daytime home interview. Even after the initial visit to this particular house I was suspicious that something paranormal was going on there. For one thing, the homeowners had mentioned that music was often heard when none was being played. When listening to the recordings of our conversations that evening, some unusual music faded in and out, although none was playing at the time.

The first thing I noticed back at my own home was a few issues with my computer popping up – just little annoying things, but enough to make me suspicious. Then a few nights later I was with my family in the living room when we all heard some very odd music play briefly but loudly from an adjacent room. It wasn’t anything that any of us had heard before, and not a sound made by any electronic device we owned.

Luckily my family is very accepting of my paranormal work and the occasional “side effects”, shall we call them. No one freaked out and the only comment I got was a wise crack along the lines of “Bringing home stray dogs and stray cats is one thing, but you need to draw the line at bringing home stray ghosts”.

What makes me wonder about these musical interludes is this: ghostly music must, by definition, fall into the category of “residual” energy.  It certainly isn’t the spirit of some lost soul.  Why, then, do we most often seem to get music in actively, intelligently, haunted homes?  Is the residual energy somehow attached to an earthbound spirit?

In the home I first mentioned where the old swing music was heard, the home had been occupied in the late 1990s by two elderly couples whose fate is unknown.  Perhaps one or more of these souls remains, and the old swing music was a favorite from their romantic youth. Or perhaps the music is just the residual footprint of a song they played over and over.  Hopefully well get a few clues from the investigation.

Let me finish by sharing two musical EVP I captured a few years ago.  The first was recorded during our Preliminary visit to the mid-1800’s home, while siting around the dining room table with the clients.  You can hear us all talking and if you listen closely you can hear something that sounds like old Rag Time music drifting in under our conversation, although no music was playing at the time.

The second second EVP was recorded in the same location a few minutes later.  This time waltz music drifts in and out. I’ve posted them both on my web site for anyone that would like to listen for themselves.

If anyone has their own stories to share I’d love to hear them!

Is my house haunted?

So you’d like to know if Your house is haunted…

Usually is starts with the small things… maybe you’ve heard unexplained knocks or seen shadows, felt as if you were being watched, heard or seen doors opening or closing, or noticed your pet obsessed with something no one else can see. Maybe you heard your name being called when you’re alone, felt a hand on your shoulder, or heard footsteps when no one else was around. Or possibly your electronics seem to have taken on a life of their own.

It’s very possible that the things you’re experiencing have a perfectly natural cause. It’s also very possible that something outside of the normal is going on. Be it an earthbound spirit, a visitation from someone crossed over, or something entirely different but equally as supernatural, this world is full of energy and manifestations that are just on the other side of explainable. So if you’re experiencing something along those lines, the first thing you need to know is that it’s not all that unusual or uncommon. In fact, the experience itself may be life changing in many positive ways. It certainly was for me.

If you think your house may be haunted, check out my free guide on Amazon… “So you’d like to… Know if your house is haunted” for common symptoms and experiences… and where to start if you think your house is haunted and you want to learn more… And stay tuned to my blog for more hints on what to do – and not to do – if you are Living Haunted!

Ghosts in a newer home (?)

Sometimes people in a newer home are slow to recognize their haunting.  They may have built the place themselves or know for a fact that there was no death or trauma in the home’s short history.  So could it possibly be haunted?  Yes, definitely!

Admittedly it’s less likely to have a spirit sharing a newer home than it is in an older home, but it certainly can – and does – happen.  One of my favorite clients has a home my team has investigated several times, and cleansed several more.  It’s one of the most active – and fascinating – haunted homes I’ve investigated. For the whole story read my book, I Think My House is Haunted!, Chapter 10 – Friend? If Not…Goodbye!  The chapter title showed up on her computer one day, and was a fitting commentary on their current situation.Image

Ellen lives with her husband in a fairly new home, one her husband actually built.  I believe the spirits there came from the land around it, New Jersey Pine Barrens (of Jersey Devil fame) to be specific.  In fact, at least one of the spirits seems to stay on the land and just come visit.  Others are now more permanent.

So why did they choose that particular home?  There are others on the cul-de-sac.  Actually, several of the other homes have had unexplainable experiences as well. And this particular home was relatively quiet until the gentleman who built it married Ellen and she moved it.  Ellen is mildly sensitive and may have been a bit of a beacon.  And the child spirit there has, from our evidence, adopted her as a mother figure. So the welcome mat went out when Ellen moved in and a few local spirits took advantage.

It’s not always the land that brings spirits to a newer home.  They can certainly follow you home from almost anywhere.  I’ve found that these “tag-alongs” rarely stay long, though – a few days to a few weeks at most, usually.  More likely they were attached to an object you acquired.  That not all that uncommon, actually.  Or, sadly, they may have been invited in through a seance or a Ouija Board session.  If you think it’s just a cute little game and it’s over because you put the board back in the box, think again.

Children’s spirits can also show up almost anywhere.  They apparently have less attachment to worldly possessions and often wonder the area looking for other kids to play with.  When those children grow up, they simply move on to find another playmate.  Kind of sad, isn’t it?

My own home is haunted, we believe, buy a few spirits who lived on the property when it was a farm.  I don’t think they’re always here.  They have been sensed in the woods behind our home several times, so I believe they come and go. When I had a recent reading with psychic Chris Flemming (of Psychic Kids and Famously Haunted fame) he started out by asking if I had ghosts.  He went on to describe them, one in particular (an older man), and said he didn’t have to be there.  No, I don’t think he does – he goes back onto the land sometimes, he just chooses to hang around here for some reason.  Then Chris asked if I lived on a farm.  No, but the spirit did when he lived here.

When I married my husband he had a small ranch home that had been built on the property in the 1940s when the farm land had been sub-divided.  A child-sized shadow figure was occasionally seen wandering a particular hall.  So when we built a large addition, including a second floor, I wondered if the spirit would show up there as well.  If it showed up on the first floor of new addition, that was one thing – maybe it was actually just wandering around it’s old farm land and the home just happened to be built where it was wandering.

But if it showed up in the new upstairs… that would be different.  Proof, in my eyes, that it was intelligent (as opposed to residual) and that it was part of our home and our family, not just attached to the previous building.

It didn’t take long before we started having some significant experiences in the new upstairs.  The first was when my one son awoke in the middle of the night to see a young boy sitting in the middle of his floor playing with a toy.  He put his head under the covers and waited 10 minutes, and when he looked again the boy was gone.  And after that, just once in a while, even odder things have happened up there.

So yes, ghosts can and do haunt newer homes.  They are just part of our world, a part we aren’t always aware of, but they are always there…

Playful Poltergeists

Having grown up with a playful poltergeist, these cases are always favorites for me.  I have the pleasure of one such case at the moment, so I’ve been doing some pondering on the subject.

Poltergeist is a name given to a particularly noisy haunting, typically hallmarked with loud sounds and the movement of objects.  Many parapsychologists attribute poltergeist manifestations to psychokinetics – the movement of objects through the influence of the human mind.  These cases can be extreme in their manifestations in many ways, and can be both fascinating and frustrating for those living with one.

Psychiatrist Ian Stevenson (1918 – 2007) was the founder and director of the University of Virginia School of Medicine’s Division of Perceptual Studies, investigating the paranormal.  Although Dr. Stevenson is best known for his work on reincarnation, he studied the poltergeist phenomena as well.  He asserted that psychokinetic poltergeist activity can be distinguished from spirit activity simply by the type of object movement; in psychokinetic poltergeist cases the movement of objects is without purpose and often violent, while cases involving spirits of the dead involve intelligent communication, purposeful movement of objects, and little violence.

The distinction Dr. Stevenson was trying to make is an important one.  In  certain poltergeist cases, such as the one in the 1982 horror movie by that name, poltergeist activity is forceful and often violent.  Generally these rare cases – the one’s in real life, at least – are thought to be the product of psychokinetic activity surrounding one of the family members, called an “agent”.  Often the agent is a pubescent or pre-pubescent girl, but recent findings also identify agents who are epileptic or have similar brain dysfunctions.

The other type of poltergeist haunting is one with more playful types of activity.  Objects such as keys and watches may be hidden, showing up later either right where they originally were or somewhere totally unexpected.  Doors may be locked and unlocked.  Footsteps and loud banks often accompany the object movement.  Entire books have been written about the poltergeist phenomena so I certainly can’t do it justice here, but here’s where I think Dr. Stevenson’s theory needs an amendment…

I agree that the violent books-flying-across-the-room types of poltergeist cases are likely due to the agent alone, with no ghost or spirit involved.  However, I think the other type, the playful poltergeists as I like to refer to them, are a ghosts that are amped up somehow by the presence of an agent.  In other words, when a family member has certain characteristics that a spirit can draw on – adolescence,  epilepsy, or even psychic sensitivities, the manifestations can be stronger than a typical haunting and fall under the category of a poltergeist.

That was certainly my own case, long ago, and it fits the case I’m working now as well.  Here the couple both have sensitivities; the woman’s sensitivities have always been with her, and the gentleman’s are likely from a near-death experience.  A renown medium was brought in and she immediately confirmed the presence of two strong spirits.  The activity there is definitely of the poltergeist variety.  The couple is often locked out of their residence (the front door locks are electronic).  They constantly hear footsteps and loud bangs, as well as voices.  Things are always going missing, despite the couple being very neat and organized. And several times they’ve gone into the kitchen only to find all the cabinet doors and drawers open – another hallmark of a poltergeist haunting.

When I first began working with the clients I suggested that when it locks them out – which happens on a daily basis – they simply ask the spirit to open it back up for them, with some sort of “Ha-ha, that was funny, now can you let me in please?” type of a comment.  They later reported that this does work much of the time.

At our initial client home meeting, the woman was mentioning some odd photos she wanted to show us, but said she couldn’t because her camera had disappeared.  The psychic nicely but firmly asked the spirits to please return her camera.  During our investigation Saturday night the client reported that it did indeed turn up a few days later – she found it, in off all places, in the vegetable bin.  Welcome to life with a poltergeist!

Now we’re working on getting it to return a large sum of cash and a bottle of cologne… I’ll let you know how that goes…

Are you living with the Paranormal?

Welcome, all, to a little space in the internet universe where living haunted is a way of life.  Yes, living with the paranormal can be scary, thrilling, exciting, unnerving, disquieting, annoying, fun, and amazing, sometimes all at once.  Here we’ll touch on all of these reactions along the way, and so much more.

First, if I may introduce myself… by day I’m an engineer, and by night I’m a paranormal investigator, researcher, and author.  I’m, the author of I Think My House is Haunted! and the Founder of Paranormal Consulting & Investigations of New Jersey. I grew up in an actively haunted house and thus have never questioned the existence of ghosts.  The house I live in now is haunted as well, although much more mildly.  It’s probably no coincidence – I’m just (oddly) comfortable in haunted places.

Living haunted is a different experience for everyone.  We’ll be talking about lots of reasons why that is and discussing some of the common types of experiences, as well as the unique ones.  There are also so many ways to learn about the paranormal – though personal experiences, though evidence collected by ghost hunters and parapsychologists, through meduims, near death experiences, life-between-lives regressions, and so much more… each gives us a small piece of the puzzle and when we put them all together there is so much to see!  Maybe there’s a reason some of us find ourselves living haunted… maybe it’s an invitation to a broader understanding of the true world, a world that our earthly existence is but a small part of.  Welcome aboard a wonderful journey as we venture into that world.
